The Cambridge club is particularly active and raised nearly £2,000 for local and national charities last year, including Teenage Cancer Trust, British Heart Foundation and Funky Flamingo.
A broad spectrum of our activities last year included:
- Running a speed dating competition in the centre of Cambridge with 20 participants (and even a few dates).
- Running a pub quiz in aid of charity.
- Holding a Battle Of The Bands event at Revolution Bar near Cambridge City Centre with special guest Gizz Butt, formly of the legendary 90s underground band The Prodigy.
- A weekend away to Salzburg, Austria.
- Collecting money and running a charity treasure hunt for Teenage Cancer Trust (in the cold December weather...).
- A casino night playing chips for prizes.
- And more...
This year, we want to enhance our relationships with local Rotary Clubs and create more cultural opportunities (such as talks) for our members.
